The order is the whole difference. Write first and justify afterwards, and you get beautiful sentences in the wrong place.

The limits

What VICKI does not do

A listing must not only convince today, it must still be allowed to stand in two years. Five things are therefore fixed — even when the version without them looks better in the short run.

No manufactured urgency

“Today only”, “just 3 left”: largely not permitted on Amazon, and long since burnt out with buyers. The reason to buy comes from price, availability and variant logic — not from a countdown.

No claim without a product fact

“High quality” is not a fact. 350 gsm paper is one. Where no evidence can be found, the claim goes — it does not get written more beautifully.

No origin without proof

“Designed in Germany” never becomes “Made in Germany”. If the marking is on the product, VICKI writes exactly that — and says where the claim comes from.

No limitation left unsaid

“Up to 130 km” gets “under favourable conditions” with it. “Battery not included” goes in the listing — not into the first one-star review.

No emoji, no makeshift spelling

Writing “fuer Maedchen” instead of “für Mädchen” was once a trick for search. Search copes with both; your buyer reads it as carelessness. Emoji cost characters a fact could have used.

There are a few things I do not do, even when they look better in the short run. Your listing should still be allowed to stand in two years.
